What is Benazir Taleemi Wazaif?

Benazir Taleemi Wazaif is BISP's education stipend programme for children of active Kafaalat beneficiaries. It supports continued school and college attendance through higher secondary education. It is a conditional benefit: enrollment and attendance matter alongside the family's connection to BISP. Families may also encounter the older Waseela-e-Taleem name when reading historical material.

This overview helps parents understand the programme before arranging an enrollment visit or asking about a child's payment. The household's Kafaalat installment and the child's education stipend are separate records. A parent can therefore receive household assistance while an education record still needs checking. Identify which benefit a message describes before deciding what to do next.

Who qualifies for education support?

BISP's published programme page specifies children of active Kafaalat beneficiaries and lists enrollment age bands of 4–12 for primary, 8–18 for secondary and 13–22 for higher secondary education. The child must be admitted to a school or college. These are programme enrollment bands, not a promise that every child within them receives an automatic payment.

Before visiting an enrollment desk, check whether the child's identity and school records describe the same person. Differences in a name, date of birth or parental relationship can require clarification. A teacher can confirm school information, while NADRA handles the relevant identity record. Ask the enrollment team which discrepancy actually needs attention before changing documents.

Enrollment records and family preparation

The official enrollment list includes the beneficiary's CNIC, the child's NADRA B-form or CRC, and a school or college admission slip with class and institution details verified by a teacher. Make a separate folder section for each child. Two siblings may attend different institutions, have different class levels or be at different stages of enrollment. A single household message does not establish that every child's record is complete. Retain any enrollment reference and the school details recorded at the visit so that later questions can be answered precisely.

School attendance and continuing eligibility

The published attendance condition is at least 70 percent of effective school or college days within a quarter, with attendance applying from the second quarter onward. Parents should ask the school how absences and attendance information are recorded. Enrollment alone does not remove the ongoing attendance requirement.

If a child is absent because of illness, travel or a family emergency, keep the school informed and ask how the situation should be documented. Do not assume that a private agent can waive an attendance condition. Likewise, a delay in school reporting is a question for the school and programme team, rather than evidence that the family needs to start a new household registration.

Payment amounts and schedule

Education support is organized by level, and published programme information distinguishes stipends for boys and girls. Older official tables remain online, so a figure quoted without its publication context can be misleading. The linked BISP programme page contains its published benefit table; confirm the rate and quarter applicable to your child with BISP before budgeting around it.

For orientation, that page lists primary rates of Rs. 1,500 for boys and Rs. 2,000 for girls, secondary rates of Rs. 2,500 and Rs. 3,000, and higher secondary rates of Rs. 3,500 and Rs. 4,000 per quarter. Its statistics run through 2022–23; these are the page's published figures, not a verified September 2026 payment announcement.

A payment may involve one child, several children or more than one period. Ask for the programme name, child record and covered quarter when an amount is unclear. Avoid comparing only the total cash another household received, because its number of eligible children and education levels may differ.

How to check Taleemi Wazaif by CNIC

Start with the beneficiary's official household information through BISP. The public 8171 page is an eligibility-checking route, and it should not be described as a guaranteed child-by-child stipend statement. If the displayed result does not identify a child's enrollment or stipend, ask the BISP education desk to check the education record using the relevant documents.

Keep the beneficiary's CNIC and child's identity reference available for the authorized desk, but do not post either in a public message. When seeking help, explain whether the problem is enrollment, attendance, a missing installment or an incorrect school entry. School transfers, missing stipends and follow-up

When a child changes school or moves to a new class, ask the school and BISP how to keep the programme record current. A school transfer should not leave the old institution responsible for confirming attendance. Keep the new admission information and the previous reference together until the update is acknowledged.

For a missing stipend, ask which period is affected and whether the education record is complete. Keep the answer and any complaint reference. A promise on social media that every child will receive money on the same date is not a substitute for an individual programme check. No agent should demand a share of the child's stipend to release it.
