Verify before you travel
Check your status through the official 8171 channel before visiting a payment point. Payment cycles and collection arrangements can change, so confirm current instructions from BISP rather than relying on a forwarded social-media post. If your last check showed a pending verification step, resolve that first — traveling to a payment point will not release a paused case.
Choosing the right collection channel
Kafaalat payments are typically collected through a bank branch, an authorized franchise agent, or a designated ATM, depending on how your case is registered. Use the exact channel and location named in your official status message — a different agent nearby, even if they claim to represent BISP, is not automatically authorized.
At the payment point
Use the location or payment channel named in official guidance. Complete biometric verification yourself and count the full amount before leaving.
- Bring your original valid CNIC; do not hand it to an unauthorized agent.
- Ask for a receipt or payment confirmation where available.
- Do not accept an unexplained deduction or pay a release fee.
Report a problem
For a biometric issue, missing payment, or unauthorized deduction, record the location and time and use the official BISP complaint route or your nearest tehsil office. Do not publish identity details on social media. See our payment and balance check guide for how to confirm the correct amount before you raise a complaint.
